Welcome to the documentation site for the QlikWeb WorkBench
EditWho is this site for?
This documentation site is for users of the
QlikWeb WorkBench AND QlikView Server 8.5.
The QlikWeb WorkBench is a framework of tools, controls and additional functionality for enabling fast and powerful integration of QlikView into your web based solutions and contains many controls and features not available in the core QlikView Server, examples include the FlexiGridCtl (ideal for showing product results), the Mapping Control (makes showing longitude and latitude points easy) and the Global Search control (which allows querying of any number of fields in your QlikView application from a single text box).
Additionally, the QlikWeb WorkBench contains a set of JavaScript libraries which simplify communication with QlikView Server and make it easier to develop your own additional controls and features.

This web site is primarily aimed at getting you up and running, so it will cover topics such as installing the QlikWeb WorkBench, creating web pages and styling. It will not go into too much detail on particular objects - for this kind of detail, please go to our
Reference Site.EditFirst Time Users
We'd recommend that you read through
what you need, to ensure that you have all the right tools for you to start developing web sites with QlikView content. We then recommend that you read
getting started, which will explain everything you need to know to develop your first website.
EditReference Site
Our
Reference Site has working examples of every object along with code snippets. We recommend that you visit and bookmark our Reference Site, as it is a great resource and covers many advanced objects that aren't normally available in QlikView like mapping, global searches and integration with 3rd party visualisations such as charts, maps and timelines.
When you download and install the QlikWeb WorkBench, you will also get a version of the Reference Site, which you can open up and tweak the code to fully understand what's going on.
This page tells you how to set up the reference site on your computer.
